Positive Rewards Structure

Our academy follows a positive rewards system in order to promote learning in class. This is in the form of stickers and certificates. We have had success over the years by using this model. Parents have seen large improvements in listening and behaviour at home and in school. At Kane Academy it's more than just punching and kicking.

Class Disciplinary Procedure

We promote pupils to understand that their actions have repercussions. For example, in the event that a pupil refuses to listen to instructions, the importance of listening and working as a team is first explained. If the child continues misbehaving, they are given Time Out to think about their behaviour. After 2 minutes, they are allowed to return to the class.

Payments / Invoices

1. Fees are per pupil. There are no discounts.
2. Programme membership is an annual fee based on the Kane Academy being open for 45 weeks of the year and divided into 12 monthly payments.
3. If you have missed a lesson, you have missed it. There is no rollover to the next week or month.
4. Monthly fees include the lessons stipulated for the programme that you have subscribed to.
5. Fees are collected by direct debit. The first month is due at the time of joining. Failure to set up the direct debit or any missed payments will incur a £5 surcharge.
6. There are two scheduled dates that payments can occur, either the 1st or the 15th of the month, depending on the date in which you join.
7. Cancellation of membership must be done in writing with 4 weeks’ notice via the contact page on the website with the subject header “Membership Cancellation.”
8. We are not responsible for continued payments made to an ‘active membership’ account if you fail to cancel payments.
9. You will be notified with a minimum of 14 working days of any fee changes/increases.
10. Licences and Insurance are mandatory for all pupils attending lessons. Pupils will be added to an annual licence and insurance direct debit mandate after initially joining the academy.
11. Our club policy only offers member-to-member cover. It does not include personal injury cover.

Member Holidays

Members should inform instructors of any holidays where they will be absent from class. No refunds are available when you are absent from class. In order to guarantee a place in the lesson, payments must be made every single month. Cancellation of payment will result in your/your child’s place being given to another member/new student.

Class Changes / Cancellations / Closures

1. Kane Academy reserves the right to change or cancel classes due to bad weather, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances.
2. In the event of low class numbers, Kane Academy reserves the right to cancel the class. Notification will be sent out via email. We are under no obligation to notify students by other methods, so please check your emails.

Attendance is recorded, and pupils are invited to grade when they meet the required lesson attendance and readiness to perform at a pass level.

Please note that Kane Martial Arts reserves the right to terminate membership if the above code of conduct is not followed by ALL members.

Please include the pupil's height and size in cm from toe to head in the notes section, as well as any other relevant information.

The form will let you select one lesson from the timetable. Please let us know which second lesson you would like to attend also in the notes section.
